About Classic

What it means to be a Porsche Classic Dealer

At Porsche, tradition means knowing our roots and then going one step further.

For us, tradition and innovation are bound closely together. More than 70 percent of all Porsche vehicles ever built are still on the road and therefore play a defining role in shaping the fascination of the brand.

In 2017, Porsche South Bay became Porsche’s only Classic dealer in California, a commitment that includes a dedicated Classic sales, service and parts staff trained to work specifically on Porsche Classics.

The moment you arrive, you’ll notice our Classic Corner, which has already hosted several rare classics including the first 911 (currently owned by Jerry Seinfeld).  We celebrate our Classic status with events throughout the year, highlighted by our Classic Open House that coincides with the Annual Los Angeles Lit & Toy Show and draws well over 800 people. At Porsche South Bay, you will find experts who combine service and advice with the relevant expertise and enthusiasm. You also have the opportunity to browse through model history and find out about the relationship between the brand values of tradition and innovation.

Sales

Our Classic inventory is personally curated by Carl Tofflemire, our Classic Partner Director. Carl has been with Porsche in Los Angeles since 1987 and with Porsche South Bay (formerly Pacific Porsche) since January of 1999. An avid Porsche enthusiast, Carl races with the Porsche Owners Club and has served as a member of the club's board of directors. He is also racing alongside Mike Sullivan in the 2016 Pirelli GT4 Cup, an 18 race series across the US. You will not find another member of any local dealership team with more experience or enthusiasm for the Porsche brand than Carl.

Service & Parts

Porsche Classic Partners require specialized technicians, parts sales staff and service advisors. Our Classic staff have undergone a special training and certification program at Porsche headquarters. This rigorous training enables them to be well-versed on the entire Classic service portfolio, including the extensive range of genuine parts and new part editions and will be happy to advise you about your order. As they are extremely familiar with your Porsche, they can provide detailed information about the typical features and characteristics of your model. When it comes to maintenance and repair, you are also in the best possible hands at your Porsche Classic Partner. Because as well as excellent specialist knowledge, they also have the necessary special tools and model-specific technical literature.
